The CTO Lahore has found a way to address the concern of women
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th December, 2018) Women are facing difficulty observing the helmet rule in the city as they complain of their makeup and hair getting ruined due to helmet.
The CTO Lahore has found a way to address this concern. In this bid, he has written a letter to University of Engineering and Technology (UET) to make helmets seeking help.
The CTO said that since special helmets for women and children are not available in market, the university should make helmets that can prevent head injury.
The Punjab government has declared it mandatory for motorcyclists to wear helmets and has introduced fines to be imposed on those found violating traffic laws.
The City Traffic Police (CTP) under their ongoing grand operation against helmetless bikers have impounded a number of motorcycles during special campaign launched against the rules violators.
Moreover, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had imposed helmet rule for pillion riders from December 1.
