DPO Kohat Presents 10-month Performance Report

District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat Wahid Mahmood Tuesday presented 10-month performance report of Kohat Police in the District Council.
The session of the District Council Kohat held in the District Council Hall with Convener Haji Abdurashid in the chair, which beside the performance report of police also passed several public welfare oriented resolutions unanimously.
District Nazim, Mohammad Nasim Afridi, Opposition Leader Hamid and other members attended.
Presenting 10-month performance report of Kohat Police, the DPO told the district council that the performance of police during the period registered visible improvement and it is not the district which was five years back, rather now it had become a peaceful district.
He said that under the National Action Plan (NAP) and directives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) an effective crackdown against criminals is continued in the district.
He said that besides, hundreds of proclaimed offenders and facilitators, the Kohat Police has arrested more than 4000 suspects.
Similarly, he said that for gaping the distance between police and general public and redressal of public grievances at gross-root level, the police have been tasked for establishing contacts with the people through holding public hearings.
He said that the DPO is bound to present his performance in district council twice a year.
However, on the demand of the council he said ready for sharing it even for more time than twice.
The District Nazim, Naib Nazim and other members expressed full satisfaction over the performance ofDPO and after paying tributes to him assured him all possible cooperation.
The district council also discussed in details matters relating to load-unload tax, vegetable market, Asiya Massih, sports' funds, tenders issued for the distribution of sewing machines by social welfare department and purchasing of other equipment.
