Dr. Shakil Farooqui Elected As President Of KUTS

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Prof. Dr. Shakeel Farooqui has been elected as the President for the second tenure of the Karachi University teachers' Society (KUTS). A University official said on Thursday that according to the results of Annual Elections of Karachi University Teachers' Society for the year 2016-17, incumbent President Dr.
Shakeel Farooqui from Teachers' Alliance for Good Governance got re-elected as the President for the second tenure securing 347 votes while Prof. Dr. Jamil Kazmi from Karachi University Teachers Forum managed to secure 267 votes.
Dr. Maqsood Ansari of Teachers' Alliance for Good Governance got elected securing 316 votes for the position of Vice President while Dr. S.M Taha managed to secure 301 votes. Prof. Dr. Haris Shoiab of Teachers' Forum has been elected as Secretary with securing 387 votes while Prof.
Dr. Shah Ali ul Qadar of Teachers' Alliance for Good Governance secured 234 votes. For the position of treasurer, Mohsin Ali of Teachers' Alliance for Good Governance got elected securing 314 votes while Ghufran Alam of Teachers Forum secured 304.
For the position of Joint Secretary, Dr. Uzma Ashiq of Teachers' Forum got elected with 326 votes while Sarwat Afshan of Teachers' Alliance for Good Governance got elected with 306 votes. For the executive council, Moiz Khan, Nadeem Ahmed Khan, Asim Ali, Mudassir uddin, Anila Ambar Malik, Intikhab Ulfat, Mutahir Ahmed, Saadia Mahmood, Waqar Ahmed, Riaz Ahmed, M.
Osama Shafiq, Zeeshan Akhtar, Lubna Ghazal, Asad Khan Tanoli and Zafar Iqbal Shams were elected.
