ECP Disqualifies Advisor Abdul Munim Khan

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2017 ) : The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday disqualified MPA Abdul Munim Khan, Advisor to Chief Minister over not fulfilling the criteria to contest elections.
The decision was given on the application of one Sher Alam Khan to the Election Commission of Pakistan that Abdul Munim Khan Advisor to Chief Minister for Tourism was government servant and was not fulfilling the criteria to contest election said the ECP spokesman.
Abdul Munim Khan was elected as member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from PK-88 Shangla as an independent candidate, who later joined PTI and appointed as Advisor to KP Chief Minister for Tourism. He was accused of being government employee who retired only one month before the general elections of May 11, 2013 and was required two years mandatory after retirement.
