Election Commission Of Pakistan Notifies Asma Bashir As Woman Councilor Kohat

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has notified Asma Bashir of PTI as councilor on women reserved seat of District Council Kohat.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2018 ) :The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has notified Asma Bashir of PTI as councilor on women reserved seat of District Council Kohat. The seat was become vacant due to the resignation of the District Councilor, Shahana Mumtaz.
According to a notification issued by the District Election Commissioner (DEC), Kohat, Habib-ur-Rehman, Shahana Mumtaz has resigned due to personal reasons, which after acceptance by the District Nazim was forwarded to election commission for further proceedings.
The ECP after fulfilling all legal requirements has notified the name of the Asma Bashir on the basis of the priority list of the PTI.
The Assistant Commissioner (AC)/Returning Officer (RO), Kohat, Gul Bano will administer oath to newly elected woman councilor.
The notification further said that woman councilor, District Council Kohat, JamilaParacha, who had resigned from the District Council is also participating inelection on two provincial assembly constituency of the district.
