Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 25th March, 2019) In a shocking incident, a seven-year-old boy accidentally opened fire at his mother in Faisalabad.
Media reports said that the boy was playing with the gun taking it as a toy when he actually fired it. His 27-year-old mother, identified as Hina, died of the bullet.
Police sources said that the incident took place in Jhang Bazaar.
The case has now taken a new turn as the woman’s husband is being doubted for the murder.
The family of slain Hina said that she did not become the target of her son’s bullet but was instead murdered by her husband Rizwan.
Hina’s sister said that Rizwan used to torture his wife. She said that he had shot at her sister a year earlier as well after which Hina had come to stay at her house.
Police took the husband in custody and started investigation.
However, Rizwan said that he was sleeping when the incident happened. When he woke up with the sound of the gun shot, he found his wife covered in blood.
His elder son then told him that seven-year-old Azhan had accidentally fired a bullet from the gun.
Police have taken the mother’s dead body in custody.
