Famous Novelist 'Bano Qudsia' Remembered Today

Renowned Urdu novelist and short story writer 'Bano Qudsia' also known as 'Bano Aapa' was remembered on her birth anniversary across the country on Wednesday.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Nov, 2018 ) :Renowned urdu novelist and short story writer 'Bano Qudsia' also known as 'Bano Aapa' was remembered on her birth anniversary across the country on Wednesday.
Qudsia Chattha was born on November 28 in 1928 in Ferozpur, East Punjab. Later, she adopted the pen name Bano Qudsia.
Bano Qudsia is best known for her novel Raja Gidh and also wrote for television and stage in both Urdu and Punjabi languages.
Qudsia was the wife of late Ashfaq Ahmed, Pakistan's legendary writer, playwright and broadcaster.
Her books and teleplays include Adhi Baat, Aik Din, Amr Bail, Assey Passey, Bazgasht, Chahar Chaman, Chota Shehr, Bary Log, Dast Basta, Dosra Darwaza, Dusra Qadam, Foot Path Ki Ghaas, Haasil Ghaat, Hawwa Key Naam, Hijraton ke Darmiyan, Kuch Aur Nahi, Lagan Apni Apni, Marde Abresham, Maum Ki Gallian, Naqabal-e-Zikr, Piya Naam Ka Diya, Purwa, Purwa and Aik Din, Raja Gidh, Saman-e-Wajood, Shehr-e-bemisaal, Shehr-e-Lazawal Abaad Weerany, Sudhraan, Suraj Mukhi, Tamaseel, Tawjha Ki Talib, Rahe Rawan and Phir Achanak Yuh Hua.
Bano Qudsia died on 4 February 2017 in Lahore at the age of 88.
