Farewell Party Arranged In Honor Of Amjad Ali Khan

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -21st Sept,2016) : A farewell party was arranged in the honor of the outgoing Chief Secretary, Amjad Ali Khan at Civil Officers Mess Peshawar on Wednesday. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Parvez Khattak, members of the Provincial Cabinet and high ranking Government Officers attended the ceremony.
Speakers on this occasion while appreciating services of the outgoing Chief Secretary turned it as exemplary. Chief Minister Parvez Khattak while lauding contribution of the outgoing Chief Secretary Amjad Ali Khan said that the provincial government had full confidence on him and he had served the province with full dedication and played a dynamic role for the betterment of the province.
The CM said that the present government was following an agenda of change to strengthen institutions and reform the system. He went on to say that the provincial government was striving for bringing transparency, elimination of political interference in the official matters to ensure merit and deliver justice to the people.
"It is a difficult task and that is why the government functionaries will have to work with dedication and full attention", he maintained. He regretted that in the past reformation of the system was fully ignored and that is why the present government was making legislation and bringing amendments in the existing laws to improve the system.
The Chief Minister said that KP Government was proud of its officers as they were supporting the government in translating its reform agenda into reality. The outgoing Chief Secretary, Amjad Ali Khan in his farewell address extended thanks to the KP Chief Minister for expressing confidence on him and supporting him fully.
He said that he worked for achieving the goal of good governance in the province only with the support of the provincial political leadership and that is why KP was the leading province in the context of good governance in the whole country.
Earlier IG Police Nasir Khan Durrani and Secretary for Agriculture Jamil Ahmad lauded the services of the outgoing Chief Secretary. They said that Amjad Ali Khan was a good team leader and he had performed tremendous services for the province by presenting a good model of good governance.
Later on the Chief Minister awarded a shield to the outgoing Chief Secretary Amjad Ali Khan for his contribution for the development of the province. APP/ash/tsw
