ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2018 ) :The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has finalized all arrangements for the upcoming monsoon season and flood cell will start operational on July 1.

Talking to APP here, Chairman of FFC Ahmad Kamal said contingency plan would be put in place on June 15 after issuance of official forecast advisory by meteorological department.

However, the chairman said water inflow situation was not so healthy this time and sufficient space was available in reservoirs to store water in case of any flooding. Daily flood report would be regularly issued from July 1.

He said the Met office has predicted two-three spell in second half of this month. As per predication, this year, monsoon season would be normal, he said.
