First Session Of Municipal Corporation Multan Held

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Jan, 2017 ) : The introductory session of Multan Municipal Corporation's elected members was held here on Monday with Mayor Chaudhry Naveed-ul-Haq Arrain in the chair.

Two resolution were presented in the first session including one against out-of-turn promotions of officers of municipal corporation and the second about two seats of deputy mayors with the seat of mayor.

All members raised their hands and expressed their support in favour of the resolutions. The mayor told the participants that DCO Multan had already cancelled promotions of all officers while they have got stay from the court.

He said that all possible resources would be utilised to provide relief to the common man adding that the city would be made beautiful as per the vision of Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

Naveed said that the office of mayor would be set up in Mumtazabad and offices of deputy mayors -- Munawar Ahsan Qureshi and Haji Saeed Insari -- would be set up at Shah Rukan-e-Alam. He said that a complex would be constructed for municipal corporation where offices of all authorities concerned would be shifted for public facilitation.

He pledged that all members would be treated equally and there would be no discrimination.
