
Former VC Urdu Varsity Sacked On Charges Of Corruption: NA Told

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Augst,2016) : Minister for education and Professional Training Balighur Rehman on Thursday informed the National Assembly that former vice chancellor of Federal urdu University was sacked on charges of corruption and misappropriation after conducting an inquiry.
Responding to a Calling Attention Notice raised by Sahibzada Muhammad Yaqub and others regarding stoppage of salaries of more than 60 teachers and staff of the Federal Urdu University for last several months, the minister said the President being a chancellor of the varsity took notice of corruption and misappropriation and set up an inquiry committee headed by Justice Tariqul Khairi.
He said the court also gave its verdict against the former VC. The minister said salaries to all employees of the university have been paid till July 2016.
