Golan Gole Project To Help Address Load Shedding, Voltage Issues In Lower Dir

The process of supply of electricity from Golan Gole project has been started and very soon electricity from Shikaolai Grid Station will be provided to Lower Dir district that will help address the issue of load shedding and low voltage in the area.
LOWER DIR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Sep, 2018 ) :The process of supply of electricity from Golan Gole project has been started and very soon electricity from Shikaolai Grid Station will be provided to Lower Dir district that will help address the issue of load shedding and low voltage in the area.
This was stated by District Nazim Muhammad Rasool Khan and others during a visit to 132KV Shikaolai Grid Station, Timergara.
On the occasion In charge grid station, Waheed Shah briefed the visitors on Golan Gole project and said the project will provide electricity to Lower Dir district and the issue of low voltage and load shedding will be addressed.
He also apprised them about daily basis distribution system of electricity from Shikaolai Grid to the district.
The district Nazim said it was the day of rejoice for the people of Lower Dir as with completion of multi-faceted Golan Gole project a long standing demand of the area people has been fulfilled.
He said supply of electricity from this project on trial basis was conducted that proved much successful.
He assured that the issue of load shedding and low voltage will be addressed in Lower Dir afterward.
The project, he said will also make Lower Dir self sufficient in electricity head and the area will no more be dependent on Mardan Grid Station. In emergency situation, he said Shikaolai Gril will be able to provide electricity to Chakdara Grid.
The real cause behind the poor electricity supply situation in Lower Dir, he said was the worn out wires while in Maidan and Jandool slow pace of work on grid station deteriorated the situation.
He demanded of the government to speed up work on Maidan and Jandool grid stationand feeders and replace the worn out wire at the earliest.
