Govt Restoring Nation's Confidence By Changing Its Life Style: Shafqat Mehmood

Federal Minster for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mehmood Friday said the nation was not ready to pay tax willingly because of luxurious life style of previous rulers but Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government restoring the confidence of people by changing its life style through austerity campaign.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Sep, 2018 ) :Federal Minster for education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mehmood Friday said the nation was not ready to pay tax willingly because of luxurious life style of previous rulers but Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government restoring the confidence of people by changing its life style through austerity campaign.
Talking to a private news channel, he said prime minister house of Pakistan was more luxurious than Washington house, adding, the government would convert it into a postgraduate university of a high quality.
He said that additional construction would also be carried out on the land behind the residence meant for the premier after devising a formal plan in this regard.
The minister said that the government had offer of aid from different countries including China and Sweden for making the PM house as an Institution of High Learning, adding that China also suggested to make it a climate change centre of high quality.
He said that the PM House was spread over around 1100 kanals and huge amount was also being spent on its maintenance annually.
Replying to a question, Shafqat mehmood said that national heritage could not be sold out.
However an audit should be made in this regard to know that how many buildings were there in the country which were considered as a part of national heritage, he opined.
He said that government was going to fulfill its promises made with the nation before general elections.
