The employees of Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) have resorted to protest again decrying non-payment of salaries of last 4 months
On the call of HDA's Mehran Workers union, the employees staged a protest outside Hyderabad Press Club on Saturday.
The union's General Secretary Muhammad Aslam Abbasi said both the regular and contractual staff were not receiving their salaries.
He said due to shortage of funds the Water and Sanitation Agency, a subsidiary of HDA, could not pay salaries to the staff.
The protesters demanded of the Sindh Government to release funds for the HDA so that the employees could be paid their salaries before Eid ul Fitr.
