India Should Hold Int'l Probe Into Uri Incident: Sartaj

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -27th Sep,2016) : Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz Tuesday said that an international probe should be conducted into the Uri incident.
He said if India had evidences, it should be shared with Pakistan instead hurling baseless allegations. Responding to queries in a private tv talk show programme, Sartaj categorically rejected Indian External Minister Sushma Swaraj's statement over the Occupied Kashmir.
He said her statement was a travesty of facts. Even the voices inside India were being heard against the atrocities committed by the Indian occupation forces. About 104 innocent Kashmiris had been martyred, scores of others were blinded with pellet guns and hundred others were injured as result of brutal forced used by the Indian forces, he added.
Sartaj, to a question about Indus Water Treaty, said that it was a bilateral pact and India could not take any unilateral action over it.
Still, the advisor said, India could interfere by constructing some dams.
India had been harping about non-state terrorism, he said, but Pakistan had evidences about Indian state sponsored terrorism on its soil. Indian navy officer and intelligence operative Kulbushan Jadhav who was caught in Balochistan had been trying to destabilise Pakistan, he added.
Sartaj informed that another dossier containing Indian state involvement in terrorism and subversive activities inside Pakistan would be shared with the world leaders soon. He said Pakistan had been fighting the menace of terrorism and suffered greatly in this war by sacrificing lives of hundreds of its people and law enforcement personnels.
The world including United States had acknowledged it, he added.
