IRSA Releases 218,000 Cusecs Water On Friday

Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Friday released 218,000 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 162,600 cusecs
According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1541.44 feet, which was 155.44 feet higher than its dead level of 1,386 feet. The water inflow in the dam was recorded as 95,700 cusecs while outflow as 130,000 cusecs.
The water level in Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1218.
80 feet, which was 178.80 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 15,900 cusecs and 37,000 cusecs respectively.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 136,000, 132,000 and 37,600 cusecs respectively.
Similarly from the Kabul River, 14,500 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 7,700 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala. The total water storage stood at 11.372 million acre feet.
