Islamic Calligraphy Exhibition Begins At Multan Arts Council

A three-day exhibition on Islamic calligraphy kicked off here at Multan Arts Council (MAC) on Monday.
As many as 70 art pieces of Islamic paintings, contributed by seven noted calligraphers, Ustad Shamsuddin, Ghulam Fareed Bhatti, Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal, Ibn-e-Kaleem, Rashid Sial, Hamid Iqbal and Hina Tabassum were put on display. Each calligrapher has displayed 10 paintings at the show.
on the opening day of the exhibition, a good number of people including students from different schools visited Multan Arts Council.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mukhtar Hussain and known writer Shakir Hussain Shakir inaugurated the ceremony. Shakir remarked that peace could be promoted across the world by following the teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Resident Director Multan Arts Council Sajjad Jahanian told APP that the exhibition was arranged under aegis of the Multan Arts Council. He said that calligraphers presented rich tribute to Islamic teachings through their master pieces.
The event was arranged in connection with the Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) celebrations.
