ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 24th March, 2019) Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday said Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman feared as if it was their turn to be held accountable now.Fawad Chaudhry satirically said Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Khursheed Shah were truly concerned about economic situation of Pakistan. In a press conference, taking a dig at Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he advised the PPP Chairman to organize a train march against India for mistreatment of minorities. On PPP's protest, he said the constitution gave everybody right for protest, but it should be peaceful and non-violent.
"When we ask about fake bank accounts with billions of rupees, they talk about banned outfits," he said adding that Khursheed Shah himself had been meeting big terrorists. The minister said there was no conflict on the National Action Plan (NAP), all parties were united on it.
"Purpose of the NAP is to implement writ of the state," he said.Fawad Chaudhry said he was in contact with Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on the issue of appointments of the Election Commission of Pakistan members.
Hopefully, we would reach a consensus, otherwise the committee would decide it, he added. He said dual nationality holders were not eligible for contesting elections. NNI
