KP IGP Awards Hazara Region Police Officers On Excellent Performance

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Salahuddin Khan Mehsood Wednesday awarded Hazara region police officers on their excellent performance against criminals involved in five murder cases including one of a journalist Sohail.
Addressing a ceremony held here at CPO Office, IGP Salahuddin Khan Mehsood highly appreciated the modus operandi and techniques of the raiding party of police adopted for arresting the accused involved in the criminal cases.
The IGP said that people had attached great expectations from the police and directed them to accept every incident as a challenge and perform their duty with full devotion and professional commitment.
He awarded SHO police station police Hattar Haripur Sub Inspector Saeed Yadoon, Investigation officer police station Havelian Sub Inspector Muhammad Younus, Investigation officer police station Dubair, Lower Kohistan Sub Inspector Khursheed, ASI Ghulam Jan police station Oghi, Mansehra and Head constable Wali Muhammad police station Battagram.
During the ceremony it was informed that few days ago a media man Sohail was killed in Abbottabad by two brothers who instantly fled to Karachi after committing the crime.
Abbottabad police actively pursued the culprits and arrested one accused from Karachi.
The second accused fled to Quetta and was trying to enter Afghanistan via Chaman border but the police foiled his attempt and apprehended him on the border.
In another incident of honour killing, Lower Kohistan police arrested the killer along with weapon of offence. Likewise, Havelian police had nabbed two culprits from Karachi airport involved in the brutal murder case of three persons.
In this incident the police promptly traced the CNIC and passport number of the accused and put their Names on Exact Control List through immigration department. The police had also recovered one Klashinkove, 2 repeater guns, one 9-mm pistol, one 30 bore pistol and one GLI motor car used in the incident.
Similarly Oghi police had arrested an accused involved in the murder of a mysteriously missing person in a forest. The police had traced out the killer through Call Data Record (CDR) of the person killed in the incident. Moreover, the Battagram police had arrested an accused involved in the honour killing case within two hours of the incident.
Principal Staff Officer to IGP was also present on this occasion.
