Kuch Khaas will showcase 'The 48 Hour Film Project - top ten films' here on December 1 (Saturday) to provide a platform for civic engagement and bring about lasting social change through the development of an engaged, aware and active civic society in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Nov, 2018 ) :Kuch Khaas will showcase 'The 48 Hour Film Project - top ten films' here on December 1 (Saturday) to provide a platform for civic engagement and bring about lasting social change through the development of an engaged, aware and active civic society in Islamabad.

According to the organizers, the screening of these films will include award-winning films that were made in just 48-Hour window bringing all the creativity and skill the teams gathered . The 48 HFP is the world's oldest and largest timed film making competition that includes fun plans for the audience in mediums of Film, Filmmaking and Short story.

Kuch Khaas is a community space for discourse, learning, meaningful entertainment and participation in Islamabad.�It is not for profit social enterprise comprising of a community space for public discourse, the pursuit of knowledge, meaningful entertainment, civic�engagement and advocacy in the city of Islamabad.

Kuch Khaas aims to be a leader of social change in Pakistan by becoming a platform for dialogue, learning, cultural enlightment and societal participation. This platform is used to promote dialogue, discourse, creative expression, intellectual development and social intervention,encouraging interactive intellectual pursuits and education,empowering youth to become change-makers,raising social awareness and effecting social change through the promotion of arts, culture and intellectual engagement, the organizers said.

It also works for developing a vibrant community of conscientious citizens supporting the strengthening of democratic principles and institutions in Pakistan stimulating civic involvement in Islamabad's urban civil society.
