LHC serves notice on federal govt on petition filed by Abid Boxer against placement of his name in ECL

LAHORE (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th April, 2019) Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notice to Federal government on the petition filed by former police inspector Abid Boxer against placement of his name in ECL.Justice Qasim Khan of LHC took up the petition for hearing Wednesday.

Azar Latif Khan, counsel for the petitioner pointed out that his client name was placed in ECL on the recommendation of FIA.He made it clear that Abid Boxer has been acquitted in all cases, therefore, there is no justification in placing his name in ECL.He prayed the court to remove his client name from ECL.
