Liaqat Baloch Urges Ulema, Mashaikh To Play Role In Forging Unity, Harmony

ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 14th March, 2019) Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the Ulema and the Mashaikh were the centers of love and respect of the masses and they should play their important role in forging unity and harmony among the people.Addressing the international Ulema and Mashaikh conference in Islamabad, he said that the way or the Maslak of the Muslims all over the world was one, the Quran and the Sunnah.
He said that each religious Maslak had its significance but the Quran and the Sunnah were the real and the middle path.He said that hatred, extremism and intolerance gave birth to dissent and chaos and the Ulema should strive to overcome hatred by promoting common concerns and common goals.The JI Secretary General said the mosques, madrissahs, shrines, the Khatibs and the preachers were important pillars of the Muslim society and they should realize their high status and come forward for mitigating the sufferings of the masses, especially solving the economic problems facing the society.
Liaqat Baloch disapproved the crackdown against the Madrissahs and said that the religious parties would make every sacrifice for the protection of the Madrissahs.He said that islam was the biggest supporter of the women rights but the secular lobby had pitted the women against the Ulema through a conspiracy.
As such, he said, the Ulema should play their role for safeguarding the women rights.He said it was time that the Ulema and the Mashaikh stood united for the protection of the historic 22 points of the Ulema the code of conduct and the concept of Khatm e Nubuwwat. NNI
