Captain Maryam and First Officer Shumaila took the flight to Gilgit on Thursday
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd June, 2018) Renowned actress Mahira Khan is all proud for Pakistan International Airlines female crew who took the flight to Gilgit.
In a first, the first officer and captain to fly a PIA plane to Gilgit were both women. The picture of the female crew went viral on social media, drawing appreciation for the two ladies.
Captain Maryam Masood and First Officer Shumaila Mazhar were all smiles as they were to fly the plane to Gilgit, a flight not too easy.
PIA had lauded the female captain and first officer for taking their flight to Gilgit in a tweet.
“The flight to Gilgit is very challenging and requires a lot of precision and technique.
Our dynamic duo, Captain Maryam Masood and First Officer Shumaila Mazhar make it look so easy as they fly through the mountains celebrating the beauty of our northern areas! Way to go!! #PIA,” the national airline said in a tweet.
The tweet came to Mahira Khan’s attention as well as she said she can’t wait to fly with Maryam and Shumaila.
In a tweet on Friday, Mahira said, “Maryam and Shumaila, can’t wait to fly with the both of you! Heart swells up with pride!!!”
