MASRO, Gomal University Sign MoU For Capacity Building Of South KPK

ISLAMABAD, Jan 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Jan, 2017 ) : MASRO (Media and Security Research Organization) and Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan have signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for conducting capacity building workshops on journalists' safety and responsible reporting for South KPK media persons and students of Gomal University.
A press release issued said that Ghias Akram, Chairman MASRO and Dr. Muhammad Sarwar, Vice Chancellor Gomal University signed here the MoU. Dr. Bhakhtiar Khattak, Pro-Vice Chancellor Gomal University and Fazal-ur-Rehman, PRO Gomal University also attended the ceremony.
According to the MoU, MASRO will be responsible to conduct capacity building workshops for the South KPK and FATA journalists and Media Students of Gomal University.
Total 150 journalists from Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, North and South Waziristan Agencies and South FR Regions of FATA areas would be trained for their physical safety and responsible reporting during their professional duties.
Gomal University would facilitate with MASRO to achieve the set targets, which were jointly agreed, and for smooth conducting and implementation of the workshops, which will start soon in Gomal University.
