MCB Staff Alleged For Committing Over Rs40m Fraud In Electricity Bills

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th March, 2019) Muslim Commercial Bank Lahore-branch staffers have been alleged for committing over Rs40 million frauds in Lahore Electricity Supply Corporation (LESCO)'s bills.Following the financial scam, the LESCO authority has approached the local FBIA for further investigation into the matter.
The sources said that the branch cashier and manager were involved in the fraud.They said the bank officers transferred only Rs40 million in the account of IESCO whereas it deposited Rs150 million in term of electricity bills.
The sources said that the fraud was committed in the last month billing.The relevant authority, after surfacing the fraud, has approached the local FBIA for further investigation into the matter.
The concern authority has initiated inquiry.According to initial investigation, LESCO officials were also allegedly involved in the fraud. However, sources said fraud money could not be taken back so far.
