MEPCO Imposes Rs 4.3m Fine On 103 Power Pilferers

A task force of Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has imposed Rs 4.3 million fine on 103 power pilferers during a crackdown across 13 districts of the region
According to Mepco official sources on Friday, in line with special directions of CEO MEPCO Engineer Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, the task force, along with the district administration and police, launched the crackdown on power pilferers and caught 103 power pilferers.
The task force imposed fine on them for stealing 300,000 units.
The Mepco task force also got registered FIRs against 25 power pilferers with the police stations concerned, sources added.
