Metropolitan Commissioner KMC Directs For Beautification Of City Karachi Corridors

Metropolitan Commissioner (MC) Dr Syed Saif ur Rehman has directed the directors of various Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) departments for beautification of the city corridors and removal of encroachments.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :Metropolitan Commissioner (MC) Dr Syed Saif ur Rehman has directed the directors of various Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) departments for beautification of the city corridors and removal of encroachments.
He issued these directives while chairing a meeting in his office here on Monday, said a statement.
He said that trimming of trees alongside main roads must be continued with removal of undisciplined wires and cables from city roads and pavements.
He said that they need to clear the footpaths for pedestrians and the welfare organizations should do their work on some other appropriate places.
Dr. Saif said that encroachments around the hospitals should also be cleared forthwith so that patients and their attendants should not have to suffer due to these obstacles.
He specially cited Sir Suleman Road, Agha Khan Hospital, Sibghatullah Rashidi Road, Newtown Roundabout and the roundabout of Mazar-e-Quaid, where he said trimming of trees was essential.
He also directed the supervisor of KMC Building on the M.A.
Jinnah Road to ensure cleanliness in the building.
In the meeting, he directed to carry out auction of the 1.5 acres land vacated in the Orangi Town so that it could be saved from furtherencroachments.
