Minister Assures Compliance Of Court Orders About Sugarcane Cost

Sindh Minister for Agriculture Sohail Anwar Khan Sial has said the Sindh High Court's orders with regard to crushing season and cost of sugarcane will be duly complied by the government
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2018 ) :Sindh Minister for Agriculture Sohail Anwar Khan Sial has said the Sindh High Court's orders with regard to crushing season and cost of sugarcane will be duly complied by the government.
Chairing a joint meeting of sugar mill owners and sugarcane growers here on Friday, he said the provincial government is fully conscious of the sensitivity of the issue and will comply with the court orders on a priority basis.
"We will ensure that differences between the two major stakeholders are amicably settled," the minister assured the growers and mill owners.
The meeting, among others, was attended by provincial secretary for agriculture, cane commissioner, director general - agriculture department extension along with representatives of Sindh Abadgar board, Sindh Agriculture Chamber and All Pakistan Sugar Mills Association.
Representatives of agriculturists and mill owners on the occasion reposed confidence in the minister with the hope that their respective interests will be genuinely protected.
