Minister For Immediate Revival Of Complaint And Enquiry Counters

Sindh Minister for Local Bodies, Said Ghani here on Wednesday ordered concerned officials to immediately reactive the complaint cum emergency counter at Karachi Development Authority's (KDA's) head office.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Sep, 2018 ) :Sindh Minister for Local Bodies, Saeed Ghani here on Wednesday ordered concerned officials to immediately reactive the complaint cum emergency counter at Karachi Development Authority's (KDA's) head office.
Chairing a meeting of local government officials, he said public grievances have to be addressed on urgent and efficient basis, for this, the relevant facilities must be fully functional.
Secretary, provincial local bodies department, Khalid Hyder Shah, Director General, KDA, Sami Siddiqui, Fazeel Bukhari, Ramchand, Navaid Izhar, Atta Abbas, Mohammad Qasim, Kamal Ahmed, Liaqut Ali and other senior officials of KDA were also present on the occasion.
Said GhanI said absence of adequate room to register problems faced by the citizens was aggravating the situation and leading to decline of public trust on government departments.
This, he said needed to be handled on modern lines.
To make most of the modern technology, he said an application must be urgently developed that may provide the citizens all relevant information regarding KDA.
Provision for on line services was further suggested by him.
With regard to complaint and emergency counters, the minister directed senior officials of KDA to ensure regular monitoring of the same ensuring that public concerned are addressed without any compromise.
Said Ghani said that biometrics system was being fast introduced at all local government departments so as to ensure 100% attendance of the employees.
KDA chief Sami Siddiqui suggested urgent announcement of the KDA governing body, with due provision for two MPAs and one official, each from finance and administration departments respectively.
"We may only make needed decisions and ensure its implementation once the needed numbers of KDA governing body is completed," he said.
Sindh Minister for Local Bodies said that being fully cognizant of the requirement, he has also ready forwarded the recommendation to the Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah.
