Minister For Involving Social Sector To Resolve Women's Problems

Sindh Minister for Women Development, Shehla Raza on Tuesday announced that women complex, being established in Sukkur, would be functional soon.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :Sindh Minister for Women Development, Shehla Raza on Tuesday announced that women complex, being established in Sukkur, would be functional soon.

Addressing a certificate distribution ceremony of 16 days of activism and awareness campaign, she said, "it would be made model for all women where all activities would be held".

It would be the first ever building of the Women development department Sindh with women hostel, complaint cell, daycare centre, crisis centre, vocational institute and gym, she said.

The event was commenced with regard to the celebrations of International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women organised by the Wonder Women Association of Pakistan.

Syeda Shehla Raza further said that women protection cell has also been established in her office with 24/7 toll free number 1094 to redress grievances being faced by the women through their complaints and personal visits to the cell.

She urged Non Government Organizations (NGO) to involve social sector on a permanent basis to resolve issues and problems of women empowerment.

She also asked NGOs to hold workshops, seminars and their activities in the complex of Pakistan in future, which would be inaugurated soon.
