Minister Orders To Seal Three Hotels In Gujranwala

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2017 ) : Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin paid a surprise visit to various restaurants and food factories of Gujranwala and ordered to seal three hotels.
The Minister ordered to seal famous sweet brands, candies and slanty making production unit. Bilal Yasin also ordered to seal JJ Food Industry, Capri Toffee makers, Mughal Mehal Hotel, Sheltan Hotel, production units of Salman Sweets and Sialkot Sweets.
These famous brands and hotels were sealed for using of chemical colors, unhygienic cleanliness situation usage of expired oil and absence of tagging over meat. Provincial Minister Bilal Yasin said that to provide healthy and fully nutrient food to common man was priority of the Punjab government.
The Punjab Food Authority was doing operation across the province without any discrimination, he said this while talking to the media in Gujranwala, on Tuesday. During his visit, the Minister ordered to seal Salman Sweets and Sialkot Sweets, famous brand of Gujranwala over extreme unhygienic condition and usage of textile color instead of food color which was highly injuries to human health.
The Minister also expressed displeasure over the dirty condition and presence of flies and cockroach in production area of these brands. The Minister also visited Mughal Mehal Hotel where he found expired food items and meat was being used by the hotel management.
The Minister ordered to impose Rs 100,000 fine to Mughal Mehal Hotel. Bilal Yasin also issued notice to Shahbaz Tikka Shop and Mian Food Industry. Earlier, the Minister visited various restaurants and food factories in Gujranwala, Bilal Yasin spent five hours long visit to Gujranwala district.
Deputy Director Food Authority Rabia Haider, Deputy Director Food Badar Rameez and officers from Food Department were accompanying the Food Minister on the occasion.
