MLF Concludes With Festivity For Many

MULTAN, Apr 8 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Apr, 2017 ) : The two-day Multan Literary Festival (MLF) concluded with a magnificent performance of singer Ghulam Abbas at IMS Executive Hall of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) here late Friday evening.
The last session of MLF ended with Sham-i-Ghazl wherein Ghulam Abbas enthralled the audience by singing over 20 ghazals and film songs. A mushaira was organised prior to musical evening, attended by Dr Aslam Ansari, Iqbal Sokri, Dr Rana Ayaz, Prof Naseem Shahid, Mumtaz Athar, Rizwana Tabassum Durrani, Dr Shouzab Kazmi and many others.
Earlier, in the day a good number of students, academicians, scholars, artistes, writers visited the stalls installed by various educational institutions, departments of BZU and book-sellers.
Talking to APP, Anum Siddiqi, who is studying business Finance at BZU, said that the MLF was a nice attempt of the organisers that attracted a lot of people for the festivity.
She said that the first-ever festival in Multan was not less than a treat for literature-lovers. Muhammad Awais, a student of Criminology of ISS Department, said that they got a chance to enjoy and learn at the varsity through interaction with several scholars like Dr Najeeb Jamal of Forman Christian College, Dr Nazimuddin of PHEC and prolific writer Asghar Nadeem Syed, Dr Anwaar Ahmad and others.
