MUET Officers Demand Merit Based Promotions, Settlements Of Other Issues

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Nov, 2016 ) : The office bearers of Mehran University Officers Welfare Association have demanded the convening of the meeting of departmental promotion committee and promotion of university officers on merit.

According to a press release, issued here on Wednesday, a three member delegation led by President Mehran University Officers Welfare Association, Saghir Ahmed Memon, called on the Vice Chancellor MUET, Prof.

Dr. Muhammad Aslam Uqaili and discussed the issue of promotion of the officers which were pending since long.

The delegation demanded the convening of the meeting of departmental promotion committee and also emphasized the grant of higher education allowance to officers as being awarded to university teachers.

The delegation also demanded the VC to review the time scale policy and appointment of the officers at all administrative posts of the university. The Vice Chancellor while praising the efforts of the university officers for creating a good image of the university assured that all genuine demands of the officers would be fulfilled by the university management.
