MUST Hosts Kashmir Conference

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jan, 2017 ) , Jan 5 (APP): The Mirpur University of Science & Technology (MUST) hosted Kashmir Conference to mark the Right to Self Determination Day observed at either side of the Line of Control and rest of the world on Thursday.
Vice Chancellor MUST Prof. Dr. Habib ur Rehman, former Chief Justice of AJK High Court Justice (Retd) Abdul Majeed Mallick, Director Students Affairs MUST Asst. Prof. Shahid Amin and others address the conference held at the City Campus late Wednesday.
Speakers called upon the international community to immediately fulfill its due global obligation to get the legitimate right to self determination to the people of Jammu & Kashmir achieved under the spirit of the still-alive UN resolutions passed this day of January 05, 1949 by the world's apex forum.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Habib ur Rehman said that it was the global obligation of the United Nations organization to focus for getting its historic U.
N resolutions on Kashmir passed this day in 1949 by the world community, impalement without further loss of time.
He said "a strong and prosperous Pakistan is the guarantee of freedom of Jammu Kashmir". Speaking on this occasion, Abdul Majeed Mallick said that Kashmiris observe this day on January 05 every year to invite the attention of the world community to exert due diplomatic pressure upon India to act upon the UN resolutions on Kashmir.
He said that the right of self determination day reiterates the long cherished demand of the Kashmiris that they should be granted their birth right to decide about their destiny under the spirit of the internationally- acknowledged U.N resolutions. Speakers also called upon India to give matching response to Pakistan's sincere offer for early peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.
