NA-129 Votes To Be Recounted Upon Aleem Khan’s Request

The Returning Officer has withheld the election result of NA-129
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th July, 2018) Abdul Aleem Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted an application to recheck the votes in NA-129.
The application filed by Aleem Khan says that the result of NA-129 was incorrect. The polling agents were not given the copies of Form 44 and Form 45 while they were asked to go out of the polling station during counting of the ballot papers, it adds.
Returning Officer Ghulam Murtaza has ordered to recount the votes in NA-129 after accepting Aleem Khan’s application.
The Returning Officer has withheld the election result of NA-129 and has summoned Aleem Khan and Ayaz Sadiq tomorrow at 10am.
According to unofficial results announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) candidate Sardar Ayaz Sadiq had won election from National Assembly constituency NA-129 Lahore by securing 103,021 votes. Abdul Aleem Khan stood second by getting 94,879 votes while the third position was grabbed by Muhammad Yousaf candidate of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan getting 12,875.
