NA Body Approves Heavy Industry Taxila Board Amendment Bill

Expressing satisfaction over the performance of Heavy Industry Taxila (HIT), National Assembly's Standing committee on Defence Production on Thursday unanimously approved HIT board amendment bill
TAXILA (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 21st March, 2019) Expressing satisfaction over the performance of Heavy Industry Taxila (HIT), National Assembly's Standing committee on Defence Production on Thursday unanimously approved HIT board amendment bill.The NA body approved the bill during a meeting held at the Heavy Industry Taxila and visited different units of the industry.
The body also appreciated the industry's commitment of quality defence production. The amendment bill would help HIT board to meet the challenges of corporate sector.Briefing the NA body, officials of HIT said that the amendment bill would be beneficial for the defence production sector.
They told the body that Heavy Industry Taxila was also upgrading the defence equipment.The officials said that HIT played important role in strengthening armed forces.Earlier, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak on November 29, had said the exhibition IDEAS-2018 provided better opportunities to increase the export of our defence products."Pakistan is producing better and low-cost defence products on a local level that would also decrease the need to import weapons and would earn substantial revenue with our quality products," he had said while talking to media persons after visiting IDEAS-2018 in Karachi.
