NAVTCC Organizes Certificate Distribution Ceremony

National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Wednesday organized a certificate distribution ceremony here at institute of Media Studies in which 23 students were awarded certificates under the Prime Minister Skill Development.
While addressing the ceremony, Director General NAVTTC, Naeem Siddique said that skill training was the only solution to reduce unemployment in the country.
He said that the programme aimed to equip educated youth with skill based training to enable them to earn their livelihood on their own.
He said that NAVTTC has imparted skill based training among youth and added competence based training programme would be continued in collaboration with the Federal government .
Highlighting the importance of technical education, he said that the federal government was committed to extend it's all out support to equip youth with job market related skill.
He said "We are working to give much more resources to private sector which are providing services to the community.
" Naeem said that the government cannot provide jobs to every educated youth and they must go for technical education where they can earn more than the serving officer of the government.
Chief Executive Officer Institute of Media Sciences Prof Dr Haseeb Ahmad appreciated the effort of NAVTTC towards flourishing skill training in the country, adding that it would help generating employment opportunities for the educated youth.
He said that eight diploma courses are being offered at IMS including tv production, video editing, camera lighting, advertisement, media management and program designing, 3D animation and graphics, web designing and development.
Likewise, five certificates courses including radio broadcasting, still photography, anchoring and news casting and reporting certificates courses are being offered. This would help students to get employment opportunities in media.
