Over Speeding Car Hits NHA Official At Peshawar Toll Plaza

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2021 ) :A suspected speeding car on Thursday hit an official of National Highway Authority (NHA) at Peshawar toll plaza on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway (M-1).

According to the details, a suspected speeding XLI car bearing number PV-401 was spotted at 478 North over speeding at 160 km by the officers of Motorway Police. The Motorway police officers signalled him to stop but the driver didn't stop.

Briefing officers tried to intercept the said car at Peshawar main toll plaza however the accused driver hit the NHA employee who was also present at the toll plaza with NHMP officers.

The NHA official got head injuries and was shifted to LRH, Peshawar.

The accused driver namely Juniad s/o Ateeq tried to escape but arrested by Motorway Police. The accused and car has been handed over to PS Chamkani for further legal action. The position of the injured official is reportedly critical.
