Pakistan's National Defence University Delegation Visits Turkey*

A 20-member delegation of National DefenceUniversity (NDU) of Pakistan, headed by Brig
ANKARA (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th April, 2019) A 20-member delegation of National DefenceUniversity (NDU) of Pakistan, headed by Brig. Waheed Gul Satti, is visitingTurkey as part of its Foreign Study Tour from 14-21 April.The delegation includes senior officers from Pakistan's Armed Forces, Civil Service andofficers from friendly countries who are attending the National Securityand War Course.During the delegation's visit to the Pakistan Embassy, Ambassador MuhammadSyrus Sajjad Qazi briefed the group about the fraternal Pakistan-Turkeyrelationship.
"Sky is the limit for further elevating our ties,particularly in the defence field," said Ambassador Qazi. He noted thatefforts were under way to further strengthen ties in the economic field. Heupdated that both countries would soon sign Pakistan-Turkey StrategicEconomic Framework Plan of Action, which will provide a solid foundationand framework for boosting economic ties.The NDU delegation visited Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and itsaffiliated think-tank, Centre for Strategic Research (SAM).
Delegationmembers interacted with senior diplomats, academicians and researchers andexchanged views on regional and global situation with the Turkishparticipants.During their stay in Ankara, the NDU delegation also visited the Training &Doctrine Command of the Turkish Land Forces and was briefed about theTurkish military system.The delegation also visited the NATO-affiliated Centre of Excellence forDefence Against Terrorism, Communication academy & Training Center Command,as well as Turkish defence industry organisation, HAVELSAN.During their stay in Istanbul, the NDU delegation will be visiting TurkishNational Defence University and Multinational Joint Warfare Centre.
It willalso have an interactive session with the President and researchers ofthink-tank Association of Justice Defenders Strategic Studies Center(ASSAM).NDU is one of Pakistan's premier training institutions. It is renowned as acenter of excellence in academic and research pursuits, providing policyinputs on national security at a strategic level and acting as a nationalthink-tank.
