LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2017 ) :Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical education Khawaja Salman Rafique has said the Punjab government is providing best healthcare facilities in Tehsil and District Headquarters hospitals across the province.

He said that improvement in the Primary and secondary sector would help decrease patient load on Teaching Hospitals. The Minister said the Punjab government had decided to regularize all the contract employees of Dengue.

Khawaja Salman Rafique said that new opportunities for Higher Education in the medical sector were increased by establishing new medical universities and colleges. He said the Punjab government had launched health convention in all over the province from December 2 to 11, in which healthy activities were being held on tehsil and district level for awareness of the general public.

He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony on last day of health Convention at Alhamra, on Monday. DC Lahore Sumair Ahmad Syed, CEO Health Dr. Yaddullah, Officer of the health department, student and member of civil society attended the convention.

On the occasion, Khawaja Salman Rafique said that both provincial health departments were working round the clock to provide best health facilities to the public. Deputy Commissioner Lahore Sumair Ahmed Sayed said that health workers had played a vital role to eradicate Dengue larva from Lahore.

He said that condition of Basic and Tehsil level health facilities is far better than past. Special Children were performed tableaus on health-related issue and national songs. Awareness stalls on various diseases were also installed on Health Mela.
