The role of Pakistani media is being lauded all across the world for doing ‘peace journalism’ during the tensed situation with India.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th February, 2019) While Indian media had created a war frenzy and celebrated self-claimed surgical strike, Pakistani media acted in a much mature way and promoted peace.
The role of Pakistani media is being lauded all across the world for doing ‘peace journalism’ during the tensed situation with India.
Lauding the responsible role of Pakistan’s media, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that our media is mature and responsible.
“We thought India was democratic but their media created war frenzy and hysteria,” Qureshi said while talking to a local news channel.
He said that Pakistani media acted responsibly and played a role in diffusing tensions.
The cooperation of media has strengthened Pakistan’s stance, the foreign minister said.
The Indian media has resorted to unparalleled propaganda against Pakistan and spread lies to Indian population through disinformation.
Tensions heightened between India and Pakistan and took a military turn after India intruded intro Pakistan's territory on Tuesday, leaving no other option for Pakistan but to retaliate.
Pakistan retaliated on Wednesday with full force as Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down two Indian aircrafts as they crossed the Line of Control (LoC) besides arresting the Indian pilots.
This retaliation by Pakistan has forced India to bow down and come to terms with Pakistan as people in India and Pakistan alike are now demanding peace.
