People React Over Avenfield Verdict Against Nawaz Sharif, Family

Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf and other political parties have hailed the Avenfield reference decision terming it a victory against corruption and corrupt leaders, while PML-N has condemned the decision claiming it selected and targeted accountability.
ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2018 ) :Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf and other political parties have hailed the Avenfield reference decision terming it a victory against corruption and corrupt leaders, while PML-N has condemned the decision claiming it selected and targeted accountability.
Former MPA Ejaz Bokhari said that the verdict was in accordance with the law as Nawaz Sharif and others could not prove their innocence.
Former Chairman Executive Committee Punjab Bar Syed Azmat Bokhari said that apparently the verdict was as per the law, but the actual position would be cleared after detailed verdict was released.
Member Punjab Bar Council Zulfiqar Naqvi while giving his comments said that he would be in position to say something after going through the full verdict.
Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) has welcomed the decision saying it was based on proven corruption charges in the Avenfield reference.
CPP Chairman Engineer Jameel Ahmad Malik has demanded the Federal government and the NAB to initiate investigation against other corrupt political leaders too. In Pakistan, the corrupt rulers had never been punished in the past, he added.
