PESCO BoD Issues NoC In Respect Of 2 MW Hydro Project

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jan, 2017 ) : 113th meeting of the Board of Directors (BoD) Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) was held at Wapda House Peshawar. Chairman, BoD Malik Muhammad Asad Khan presided over the meeting.
Company Secretary presented minutes of 112th BOD meeting which were approved after detailed discussions with minor amendments. The board discussed the measures taken to make PESCO a profitable entity.
He said during our last tenure they have succeeded for reduction of PESCO losses and hopeful to bring it to zero loss by June 17 and after PESCO will become a profit earning company. The BoD reviewed the performance of PESCO from July 2016 to December 2016 regarding line losses, recovery and photo billing.
The board was told that during this period line losses have been decreased while recovery has been increased. Photo-Meter Reading was discussed in detail and for further acceleration of the process important instructions were issued by Board of Directors.
To facilitate consumers, the board approved the purchase of 1367 distribution transformers of 50 KVA, issuance of NOC/power evacuation certificate in respect of 2 MW Hydro Project Birmugh Golen Chitraland grant of special conveyance allowance to disable employees and up-gradation of pay scale for audit cadre employees.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PESCO Anwar-Ul-Haq Yousafzai gave comprehensive presentation to the board about the performance of the company. He said that line losses have been decreased by while recovery has been increased during the last quarter.
The board members including Chief Executive PESCO Anwar UlHaq Yousafzai, Syed Musawar Shah, Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, Col:Rtd Jahanzeb Khan, Col:Rtd: Alam Zeb, Dr Amjad Ullah Khattak,Qamar-U-Zaman, Nimat Ullah Abid, General Manager (Technical) Hassan Fazil, Chief Engineer Shabir Ahmad, Chief Engineer (Operation) Mohsin Raza, Chief Engineer (Planning) Muhammad Iqbal Marwat, Director General (PR) Shaukat Afzal, Director General (HR) Muhammad Saleem Jahangir and Secretary Board Khurshid Ahmad Orakzai attended the meeting.
