Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th January, 2018) A petition has been filed against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif in the Lahore High Court (LHC) to probe corruption in the formation of Dolphin Force.
Another inquiry has been demanded to be launched against Shehbaz Sharif, who is already in the custody of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over Ashiana Housing scam.
The petition was filed in the LHC by Advocate Asif Mahmood.
The Punjab government, NAB officials, Shehbaz Sharif and others have been made a party in the petition.
The petitioner adopted that former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif earned commission by doing corruption in the formation of Dolphin Force.
The formation of Dolphin Force caused a loss of crores of rupees to the national exchequer. The motorbikes, helmets and weapons for the force were bought at high prices from the market, the petition added.
It further stated the crime rate has decreased despite the presence of Dolphin Force. Moreover, the Dolphin Force officials target the innocent citizens.
The petitioner requested the NAB to launch investigation against Shehbaz Sharif and withdraw latest weaponry from the Dolphin force.
