PM Office Announces Major Reshuffle In Federal Cabinet

Ijaz Shah appointed interior minister, Azam Sawati re-inducted in the cabinet as minister of parliamentary affairs
LAHORE- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News- 18th April 2019) Prime Minister Imran Khan’s office has announced reshuffle in the federal cabinet.
The announcement was made soon after the resignation of Asad Umar as foreign minister.
As per PM office announcement, Abdul Hafeez Sheikh has been appointed as PM advisor on Fiance. Fawad Chaudhry who was the minister of information was given charge of Ministry for Science and Technology. Similarly, Sheharyar Afridi was given the charge of State Ministry of Safron while Muhammad Mian Soomro will be the Minister of Privatization.
The PM has appointed Ijaz Shah as the interior minister while Ghulam Sarwar was given charge of Aviation while Power Minister Omar Ayub was given additional charge of Petroleum Ministry.
Azam Swati, who resigned as the federal minister for science and technology last year, has been appointed as the Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs.
The PM has appointed three Special Assistants and according to the notification, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has been made the SA to PM on Information and Broadcasting Division, Dr Zafarullah Mirza has been assigned the portfolio of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination and Nadeem Babar will serve as the SAPM on Petroleum Division.
