PM Taking Keen Interest In 5 Million Houses Project: Cheema

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Oct, 2018 ) :Federal Minister for Housing and Works Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema on Tuesday said Prime Minister Imran Khan was taking keen interest in the project of five million houses for the poor people and was himself monitoring the whole process of this important project.
Talking to a news channel, he said the government had focused to build five million houses on priority basis as it was the major point of the first 100 days plan.
The minister said this important project was totally based on private investment and the government would only give policy on it.
He said the previous governments had destroyed the national economy as well institutions of the country by political interference and nepotism.
There was always a so called danger to democracy when accountability starts against Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari, adding all the corrupt elements would be held accountable without any discrimination.
National Accountability Bureau was working independently and its chief was appointed with the consensus of both Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), he added.
Tariq Bashir Cheema said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government would bring change in the country through its prudent policies, adding Prime Minister Imran Khan was make relentless efforts to put the country on speedy track of development.
The government under the dynamic and honest leadership was preparing result oriented policies for bringing improvement in the national economy, he said.
Replying to a question, he said protest was the right of every citizen of Pakistan but it should be under the constitutional parameters. Opposition was crying for its own interest not for the people and masses were well aware of their tactics, he added.
He said opposition was exposing day by day before the people. Tariq Bashir Cheema said it was first time in the history of Pakistan that a prime minister presented himself before the Parliament for replying questions.
