PPP Senator Mustafa Nawaz Secured Pre-arrest Bail

A sessions court in Islamabad granted bail to him and another PPP Raja Shakeel on Thursday.

ISLAMABAD- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News- 21^st March, 2019) PPP Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar has been granted a pre-arrest interim bail.

A sessions court in Islamabad granted bail to him and another PPP Raja Shakeel on Thursday.

Mustafa, who is also a spokesman of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, had applied for the bail after the Secretariat Police Station had registered FIR against him and other PPP leaders and workers for attacking the police and NAB offices during the appearance of Bilawal and Asif Ali Zardari before Rawalpindi NAB office on Wednesday.

Police said the FIR was registered under Section 147 (punishment for rioting), Section 186 (obstructing a public servant in discharge of public functions), Section 149 (unlawful assembly), Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), Section 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), Section 109 (punishment of abetment if the act abetted committed in consequence and where no express provision is made for its punishment) and Section 353 (assault) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
