PTI Govt To Provide Houses To Poors At Affordable Rates: Durrani

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Oct, 2018 ) :Special Advisor to Prime Minister on Media Affairs, Iftikhar Durrani on Tuesday said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government would provide houses to low income group at affordable rates.
Implementing "Akhuwat Model" for construction of a house comprising kitchen, wash room and sleeping room, he said the cost of this house was affordable for any poor person.
Talking to a private news channel, he said Pakistan was rich in natural resources which, he added needed to be utilized for benefit of the common man.
He said potential was available in industrial sectors of Pakistan while we had cheap labour to inject them into the construction work.
Durrani said Chinese role model in corruption and poverty alleviation would be viewed for implementation here so that desired results could be achieved for making the country 'a prosperous state'.
To a question about high rates in electricity and gas sector, he said the previous governments were responsible for making deal with the IPPS and LNG companies with high percentage rates.
It was unfortunate that the previous governments could not introduce lease system in industrial and housing sector.
