ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2019 ) :Superintendent of Police (SP) Industrial Area Aamir Khan Niazi Wednesday said police and public were two parts of the same coin and they should help each other for peace in society and effective action against criminals.

He said while addressing an `Open Kutchery' held in the area of Noon police station, a press release said.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Raja Tahir Hussian, Station House Officer (SHO)Noon Police Station Alamgir Khan, SHO Shamas Conly Asjad Altaf, SHO Sabzi Mandi police station Tariq Rauf and notables of the area were also present.

The SP said role of the community was important to ensure effective policing and secure lives and property of the citizens.

The Open Kutchery was organized following directions of Inspector General of Police Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar and Deputy Inspector General Operations Waqar Uddin Syed who asked for effective interaction of police with public.

He said people should identify the elements in the police or in their surroundings supporting the anti-social activities so that action could be initiated against them.

Citizens complaints against land grabbers were being focused and it would be ultimate effort of the police to resolve their complaints, he added.

He appealed the citizens to cooperate with them in rooting out the menace of drug.

The SP directed the police officials to ensure interaction with respected people in their respective areas and resolve public grievances through prompt action.

Niazi termed the conciliatory committee system as the best one to handle the cases of minor nature and said it helped police to save precious time and to focus attention on important task of public welfare.

He said such committees would be made more effective and upgraded while well-reputed people would be given representation in them.

He said he would share a mobile number with the notables to immediately contact with him in case of any complaint against police official or observing any anti-social activity around them.

He listened to the problems of the people and issued directions to immediately resolve them.

The people of the area lauded this step of Islamabad Police and hoped that their problems would be resolved on priority.
