LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2019 ) :Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday inaugurated the wheat harvesting campaign at 69/12-L Kamand, an adjacent village of Chichawatni by operating the combine harvester.

Addressing the ceremony, the Chief Minister announced that a 20-bed hospital, a girls college and a 20-KM long road would be constructed in Kamand village.

One could only become "Khadim-e-Alla" by genuinely working for the welfare of the public instead of mere announcements, he said adding that only gimmickries were made in the past in the name of public service and forgery was promoted.

He said that the officers serving the people would be appreciated while the ones failing to do so would not be part of our team.

He said that a comprehensive strategy has been evolved to remove the backwardness of southern Punjab and added that all-out resources will be provided for facilitating the general public.

Usman Buzdar said that promises made with the farmers would also be fulfilled as the Punjab government would start a agriculture credit card scheme.

The issue of canal water to the farmers would be resolved and nine percent more funds would be allocated for the irrigation sector in the budget.

The government has allocated Rs 130 billion for the procurement of wheat this year and maximum facilitation would be provided farmers in this regard. He also announced to enhance wheat procurement target to facilitate the farmers.

He said that Insaf Sehat Cards Scheme was being gradually extended throughout the province and Sahiwal would be included in the third phase of this scheme.

He said that price-control committees have been activated to curb the price-hike adding that Ramzan Package was being prepared to facilitate the people during the holy month.

Provincial Ministers Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial, Syed Samsaan Bukhari, PTI leaders Rai Hassan Nawaz, Nauroz Shakoor and others were also present on the occasion.
